The concern with sustainability, clearly linked to conscious consumption, has always been a concern of Alpfilm. Since the beginning of our journey, we have not given up encouraging recycling and spreading tips on how it is possible to include this practice in our daily lives.
Alpfilm Protect stretch plastic film is 100% recyclable. However, some special care is essential with the disposal of plastic film to make recycling possible. One of them is cleaning the material, because when there are food residues in the plastic, recycling is difficult. This is because the materials are mixed up in reprocessing, and can even cause damage to the machinery.
What's more, it was thinking about facilitating conscious consumption practices that we developed Alpfilm Protect Trilho®, which has an exclusive fast-cut plastic-film system, which facilitates the packaging of objects and reduces product consumption. Thus, we also reduce the amount of plastic waste discarded.
Another indispensable mission of Alpfilm is the attention to reducing food waste in Brazil, which, unfortunately, is still extravagant. Therefore, we spare no effort to maintain the quality of our products and offer a stretchable plastic film that enhances the shelf life of food.
Our newest sustainability support action is the Alpfilm Cycle project, in which plastic film is collected after consumption and undergoes a process of separation, cleaning, shredding and quality improvement with the help of technology. This process results in the production of small filaments that can be used in the production of other items made from plastic, such as accessories, shoes and much more!
