Holiday travel tips!

From home to school, from school to the English course… On the way home, technological toys to relax. The children's routine is increasingly hectic and they are losing precious time to play and create a close relationship with nature.

Therefore, when the holidays arrive, it is worth taking them to get in touch with nature. We separate eight suggestions for ecological tours for the little ones used to life in the metropolis to see animals and plants up close.

Check out:

Sao Paulo aquarium

The 1,80 meter and 75 kilo mangona shark draws attention in the

manatee tank. In space, nurse sharks, otters and a sea lion also live. The address is open from Monday to Sunday, from 9am to 18pm.

Vila dos Remedios Park

The park is known for organizing monitored trails from Monday to Sunday. The journey of just a few minutes allows children to learn the importance of preserving green areas for the city. Just don't expect too much from the playground: there are few toys.

Butantan Institute

Great option to discover the world of snakes, spiders, frogs, lizards and scorpions. There are ninety animals in a complex of three museums. Using microscopes installed at the Museum of Microbiology, the kids also observe bacteria and fungi.

The serpentarium — open air — and the Historical Museum, which traces the history of the research center founded in 1901, complete the tour. Reserve at least two hours to see everything.

Zoological Park

A good opportunity to show the little ones the diversity of species in the animal world. About 3 animals inhabit the nearly 825.000 square meters of the park. Highlight for the ones that children like to see the most: elephants, giraffes, lions and monkeys.

Nature Station Farm

At the zoo, children observe from afar, but here they have the opportunity to have direct contact with the animals: ride a horse, feed carrots to the bunnies, corn to the chickens, bread to the ducks, hold the guinea pigs in their arms and until milking the cow, at the time of milking.

Zoo Safari

If you go to the zoo, take the opportunity to also go to Zoo Safari, which is close by. There you can observe llamas, tapirs, bison and other animals from inside the car. Opened in the 70s, the park where the animals are released was reopened in 2001, now under the management of the Zoological Park Foundation. Visitors use their own vehicle or a local van, with driver and guide, from Tuesday to Sunday.

It is possible to feed some animals, such as the lady deer and the emu (a large Australian bird), with feed provided by the Zoo Safari itself.

TAMAR Project – Ubatuba

Here, the little ones have the opportunity to learn more about the life of sea, land and freshwater turtles. Visits are monitored by biology, environmental management, veterinary and oceanography students who explain the importance of preserving the environment, environmental awareness and animal care.

ALPFILM EXTRA TIP: CREATE NEW TOYS

Following the do line, invite your child to create their own toy! Hands-on, the child learns about the possible applications and properties of elements that were doomed to waste.

The selection of materials and instruments must be age-appropriate, ensuring the safety of the child. The most common for the activity are: rolls of paper, pet bottles, milk cartons, cans, toothpicks, bags, fabric scraps and cardboard boxes.

In addition to the cognitive and behavioral benefits, the activity generates pleasure and allows the child to exercise their autonomy by producing their own toy, with a lot of creativity and imagination.

EXTRA TIP 2: DON'T FORGET THE LITTLE SNACKS

Empty bag doesn't stop standing, so don't give up ensuring a quick and healthy snack for the kids to enjoy the walks without interruptions! This is another moment to remember the importance of conserving natural resources and the economy. For that,

Count on Alpfilm's help to transport fruit safely and securely! Just separate them and wrap each one in Alpfilm Protect stretch plastic film.

When preparing snacks and biscuits, you can also use AlpFilm plastic wrap

Protect for packaging and Alpfilm Ziplock for safe transport of items.

You can also count on the children's help when choosing healthy drinks for the outings! After preparing the juice, protect the bottle caps with a piece of plastic wrap and forget about leaks!
